Posted on: December 20, 2008

I recently discover a new place called Limon @ Purvis Street from someone’s blog & i went to search for more reviews on hungrygowhere.

And judging from the comments, it looks promising. So i arranged with Grace to have lunch here =)  Haven’t seen her for quite a while so i was glad to be able to ctach up with her

Before i meet Grace, i got this X’mas tree cookie for her. Love the bright colours on it. So nice! =)

As Limon has a 1 for 1 set lunch offer, both Grace & i decide to try it.

Do check out the menu with the above link

The set lunch cost $35++ & it’s really worth it with the current promotion

The drink in the picture is Limon special lemongrass flavored punch =)  Taste quite nice… Kind of refreshing! Bread was nice & soft and i was quite happy to see 3 different choices of butter/dip to go with the bread.

For soup, Grace had “Tomato , Orange & Lemon Soup” while i had “Tom Kha Guy (coconut base chicken soup). Both were good! Grace told me that she enjoyed her soup very much.

As for mine, i love it! I’m not good with description but the taste was very well balanced with a bit of sweet , sour & spicy essence in it =)  And there was pieces of chicken, mushrooms too! Shiok!!!

Main Course – Grace took “Olive Rice cooked with Asparagus , Sun-dried Tomatoes , Broad Beans , Chicken & Spanish Sausage

Mine was “Paella with Seafood , Chicken , Spanish Sausage & Broad Beans

Ok… The main course appeals to me cause i like my rice to be the soft soft kind =)   Therefore Paella suits me. And i was given this creamy stuff to go with my meal & it’s nice – seems to have a bit of spicy taste. I don’t know how they make this cream but personally i like it. It’s good =)

Up next – Desserts

By the time when it comes to desserts, i was pretty full. The Paella fills up my tummy. Hee

I had the “Thai water chestnut custard topped with coconut mousse paired watermelon flavored ice cream“. It was quite a pretty presentation & i was telling Grace it got all the colours that was associated with X’mas! =)  It tasted quite nice!

For Grace, she was supposed to have the “Limon chocolate cheese mousse” but it was not available. Can only blame the lunch crowd today, there was 2 big groups of people (i assume they are colleagues) & they took up all the chocolate cheese mousse lor.

Therefore Grace chose the “Deep fried sweet potato & banana fritter with vanilla ice cream & pandanus leaf sauce

And to end the meal, we had a cup of tea & (it was a really small cup but really just nice when you are very full).

The 2 pictures on the right are the interiors of the restaurant (2nd level). It’s not very big but cosy & the ambience is quite nice. But when i was having my lunch, it got kind noisy with the 2 big groups of people around us. But i was fine with it & i still manage to chat with Grace lah =)

By the way, the staff are not sure when the 1 for 1 set lunch promotion will ends but do call & ask if you are interested.
